The $100k LinkedIn Profile
What does a LinkedIn profile that generates $100k+ in annual revenue look like?
I recently worked with Abi Prendergast - a founder who had done a great job on every element of her LinkedIn profile, including her banner, profile pic, headline and About section.
This is not surprising. Abi is a world class copywriter, with nearly a decade of experience crafting conversion copy for creators. Although she’s relatively new to LinkedIn, the proven copywriting principles she had applied meant her LinkedIn profile was well on the way to generating $100k+ in annual revenue for her business.
However, as good as Abi’s profile was, she knew it could be even better.
With that in mind, she hired me to help her fully optimize every last detail.
Over the next 14 days, those changes resulted in three perfect fit clients booking calls.
With Abi’s kind permission, I’m sharing what we did, as well as recommended actions you can take to level up and create your own $100k LinkedIn profile.
How I Discovered Abi
I first discovered Abi because her headline starts with:
“Make $1K/day with your course”
Here’s how it looks when she comments on LinkedIn.
She commented on a post I’d read, and as I was reading the comments, I saw those six words, my eyes turned into dollar signs, and a cash register “cha ching” sound effect played.
It works like this:
I have a course.
I want $1k/day.
So I clicked through to her profile.
Now, her full headline is a lot longer, but those first six words are where she earned the click.
If you create curiosity in the mind of your target audience, they will click through to your profile. And if you don’t, they won’t.
🎯Recommendation: Ensure the first 6 words of your profile’s headline create curiosity, and compel your ideal customer to click through to your profile. This is the most important copy on your entire profile. Make it count.
Banner
After landing on Abi’s profile, I start by reading her banner.
Let’s break this down:
TITLE: $1k/day with your course
This sums up in one sentence the outcome her clients can expect.
SUBTITLE: I help coaches build + optimize funnels that generate revenue all year round.
This spells out who she works with, and more detail about the outcome.
SOCIAL PROOF: Featured In
She’s been featured by SPI, Entrepreneur, Zapier and more. This communicates to her target audience that she is the real deal.
🎯Recommendation: Your banner should communicate who you help, and the outcome you achieve. Social proof, such as brands you’ve worked with, demonstrate the level of authority you have.
Profile Pic
Abi’s profile pic shows her in a bright pink blazer with a big smile on her face. This profile pic will stand out in the newsfeed and the comments section, and that’s the goal.
🎯Recommendation: Your profile pic should featured a well lit, smiling photo. It doesn’t need to be professionally shot - an iPhone or similar photo is fine.
Featured Section
Next, I scroll down to her Featured section.
Headline: Steal my masterclass framework that makes $1k/day
Perfect clarity of what I will get if I click (and 100% in line with her banner and headline).
CTA: Watch Now
Nice and clear - it’s going to be a video, which is appealing as it’s the easiest way to consume content.
Description Title: Click for my free workshop for high-calibre coaches
She reiterates who her target market is.
Description Copy: Let’s evergreen your course sales so you can make it rain with the nail-biting stress of live launching.
She reminds you of the outcome you will get (with a bit of personality thrown in).
🎯Recommendation: Sharing a lead magnet in your Featured setion is a great way to move followers off LinkedIn, and onto your email list. It’s important that your lead magnet is highly desirable to your target audience - the people who buy from you.
Ensure the title, image and description make it clear who the lead magnet is for, and the outcome or benefit they will get from it. If it is not clear enough or desirable enough, your audience will not download it.
About Section
Let’s break down what’s happening at each stage of Abi’s About section.
“We help coaches and course creators make it rain with evergreen funnels that generate $1K/day in sales. There are currently two ways to work with me:”
This is what the prospect sees before she clicks “see more” to read her full About section.
Abi calls out who her offer is for (coaches and course creators) and the outcome they’ll get ($1k/day in sales).
“You work with me for 12 months to build and optimize your evergreen coaching business. I'll help you create your Messaging Matrix, find your big idea, write all your copy, email logic, and build out your end-to-end funnel. Then we'll optimize the shitake mushrooms out of it so it generates consistent sales while you do anything but live launch.”
Next, she concisely spells out the process of working with her, and reminds the reader of the desirable outcome they’ll get.
“In 2024/25, my clients saw results like these:
$1M profit over 6 months
$100K with a list of 800
300% increase in sales
40% uplift in paid members
3X ROAS on a $2000 program from a COLD audience”
These are specific, tangible results she has achieved for her clients. The reader gets some context on what they can expect (over and above the $1k/day course sales promise).
Testimonials
Her testimonials call out the tangible outcome Abi achieved for them, and make it clear she is truly top notch at what she does.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
“Abi is the best because she works hard at being the best. She gets giddy looking at data. She rolls up her sleeves and becomes part of the team, guiding and directing to achieve the perfect outcome. For me, that outcome was $600K launch and a resulting month that nearly outpaced all of our sales the previous year.
Margie Davis-Remmers
Founder of Akadian”
This testimonials highlights a $600k launch, and a year of revenue in a single month.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
“Over the past couple of years, it's been getting exhausting to run live launches and so our big business goal has been to create an evergreen ecosystem where I can focus on teaching and supporting my students instead of constantly having to think about launches. After only 18 days of going live we've already generated $55,822 in revenue and the conversion rate is 5.2%. We see this as a long term play so we're really excited to watch it unroll over the next few months."
Petra Fisher
Founder of Petra Fisher Movement”
This testimonial calls out that Abi took care of all the thinking around launches (a pain point for her target audience) and that they made $55k in 18 days.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
"What do you get when you combine a world-class conversion copywriter (with a track record on getting top results for the best of the best), with a skillful evergreen launch strategist who's re-invigorating a tired "just go evergreen" mantra with her unique frameworks and methodologies that result in BETTER conversions month-after-month? You get Abi. She's one in a million, and if you're a course creator "going evergreen" you'd be lucky AF to lean into her material and her attention on your soon-to-be evergreen masterpiece.
Ry Schwartz
Founder of Empire Engineering”
This testimonial communicates to the reader that Abi is a world class conversion copywriter who gets results.
🎯Recommendation: Your About section needs to start with a compelling “hook”, or your follower will not click “see more”.
Once you’ve achieved that, make it clear (again) who you work with, and the outcome you achieve for them.
Briefly share your offer. The goal is to give your prospect context, without overwhelming them with details. They are buying a transformation, not a process.
Use testimonials to prove that your offer works, and to share the specific outcome(s) your clients can expect.
Abi’s Feedback
"I hired Sam to help me raise my LinkedIn game.
I thought I was doing pretty well on here but turns out I had some major gaps in my strategy.
I implemented one of Sam's tactics right away and got three discovery calls booked.
Sam is really good at what he does and breaks everything down into concrete steps.
Plus he's a genuinely nice guy who wants his clients to win. Which they repeatedly do!”
